Price Project: Battle Castle Agency:
Young & Rubicam Director: Mike Bannon / Wreckless Abandon Running
Time: 6 seconds
Overview: Kids love playing with toys that they can
build and destroy. We built a 3D replica of the client's toy, set it in some
fictitious Scottish moors, and sent a child running towards
it.
Creative: The client wanted a look and feel that was photoreal and
yet saturated and dreamlike at the same time. We kept this in mind as we
created the rich environment and textures for the shot.
Technical:
Hatchling Studios built a 3D version of each piece of the toy and then
virtually assembled the castle as one would piece the toy together. The child
actor was shot over Green screen before Hatchling tracked the camera motion to
the 3D camera. Both elements were then composited together for the final
shot.
