Bose Project: HD Home
Theatre Presentations Running Time: Multiple animations and compositing in
HDTV
Overview: Sound is important in any production, but with Bose sound
is the show. When Bose wanted to convert its beautiful home theatre
presentations from dated slide shows to High Definition video, they called
Hatchling. Hatchling Studios helped them digitally re-create a production that
they had previously only been able to accomplish with slides, and created
imagery that compliments the client's stunning sound
production.
Creative: "Let the sound do the talking." That was the Bose
philosophy when they created the original slide presentation, and they wanted
to stay true to that when they moved those productions over to High Definition
digital projections. Hatchling Studios needed to ensure that the digital video
complimented, but didn't overpower, the sound. Hatchling perfectly preserved
the look, feel, and timing of Bose original work, while at the same time
upgrading and enhancing the presentation with original 3D and digital
images.
Technical: Hatchling Studios' thorough knowledge of editing,
compositing, and High Definition Video were essential to mimicking the exact
look, feel, and timing of slides, and preserving the "third image" that Bose
values so much in its productions. Additionally, precise timing and a good ear
were necessary to ensure that everything timed out with the amazing Bose audio
tracks. Whenever an existing slide of an illustration or graphic looked dated,
Hatchling Studios' 3D and graphic teams created high-resolution images to
perfect the show.
